This Chocolate Protein SPORT Granola Bark is a proper snack. Oats and buckwheat for sustained energy, protein for recovery, and nuts, seeds and coconut for the good fats. Ingredients
Granola Bark Base
- ½ cup Chocolate Protein SPORT
- 1 cup rolled oats (GF option: soaked buckwheat)
- ½ cup coconut flakes
- ½ cup buckwheat groats, cooked
- ¼ cup almonds, roasted and chopped
- ¼ cup cashews, roasted and chopped
- ¼ cup chia seeds
- ½ cup coconut oil or butter
- ¼ cup almond butter
- 3 tbsp maple syrup or honey (optional)
- ¼ cup cacao powder
- ½ tsp sea salt
Topping
- 150g dark chocolate, melted
- Smooth almond or peanut butter, melted or drizzled
- ½ cup almonds, roasted and chopped
- ¼ cup Chocolate Protein SPORT Powder
- ½ tsp sea salt
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 180°C
- In a large mixing bowl, combine all granola bark ingredients and mix well until well combined
- Line a baking tray with baking paper
- Spoon the mixture onto the tray and use the back of a spoon to spread and flatten evenly to about 0.5cm thickness
- Bake for 20 minutes
- Turn the oven off, leave the door slightly ajar, and allow the granola to cool slowly in the oven
- Remove from the oven once cooled and place in the freezer for 20 minutes to fully set
- Drizzle the cooled granola base with melted dark chocolate and nut butter
- Sprinkle over chopped roasted almonds, extra Chocolate SPORT Protein, and sea salt
- Return to the freezer for 10–15 minutes, or until the chocolate has fully set
- Once set, snap into bark pieces
- Store in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 1 month
