Bone Broth: Our Liquid Gold

Bone Broth: Our Liquid Gold

More than 2,000 years ago, Hippocrates stated that “All disease begins in the gut”. He nailed it. When you feed your gut the right stuff and live a healthy lifestyle, you give your body the support it needs to operate at its highest potential.

What's all the fuss?

Bone broth is one of the most powerful foods for healing ‘leaky gut’. Leaky gut can present itself as bloating, gas, food intolerances and mood changes. 70% of our serotonin (happy hormone) is made in the gut, so if we support our gut the best we can, we can lead a much happier life. Bone Broth equips muscles, bones and ligaments with vital nutrients needed for strengthening, healing and preventing injury whilst also helping to reduce inflammation. Bone Broth also has an abundance of natural collagen, so supplementing your collagen levels with Mitchells is a great way to look and feel great!

How We Make Ours

If you’ve made bone broth from scratch, you’ll know how time consuming it is! We thought that there had to be an easier way… So we got to work in the kitchen.

Step 1.

We source premium New Zealand grass-fed beef bones, New Zealand grown onions, carrots, celery, parsley. Along with quality apple cider vinegar, black peppercorns, bay leaves, and rosemary.

Step 2.

We slow cook these ingredients for up to 20+ hours to extract all the goodness.

Step 3.

We dehydrate the broth under low heat. This removes the water and preserves the nutritional profile.

Step 4.

Once dry, we pack the powdered broth into our tin and card cans.

Step 5.

To use, simply sprinkle a few teaspoons into your dinner (use as a stock replacement) or drink as is with hot water and fresh ginger.
